We want to share with you some alternatives to smudging in place of over-harvested White Sage.
Cleansing your space, your energy field and your spiritual tools is easy to do with other powerful herbs, resins and essential oils.
Always do some research to make sure these are safe to use within your home and remember that inhaling lots of smoke is never healthy for people or pets, so go easy. Also make sure you aren’t allergic to any of these before using them.

Mugwort

Lavender
Rosemary
Juniper
Yerba Santa
Pine Needles
Black Sage
Desert Sage
Blue Sage

Dragon’s Blood

Essential Oils can be added to a spray bottle with spring water to create a very powerful cleansing mist:
